Galapagos
Classic Cruises are offering a unique opportunity to sail with BBC
Presenter Paul Rose on one of the most prestigious boats in the
Galapagos, for a 7 night cruise in 2010. Paul Rose is also an expedition
leader, polar guide, mountaineer, professional diver and yacht skipper
and will accompany passengers on shore visits and give a variety of
talks on Conservation, Marine life in the Galapagos and his own
experiences whilst filming with the BBC. He has presented several
television series including Voyages of Discovery, Climate Change, Take
One Museum and more recently the eight-part BBC TWO series Oceans
including an exciting exploration of the world's underwater depths with
stunning film and photography accompanied by an award winning book of
the same name. Paul was also base commander of the British Antarctic
Survey and was awarded both the Queen's Polar Medal and the US Polar
Medal and has previously led mountain expeditions to Ecuador's highest
volcanoes including Chimborazo and Cotopaxi - experiences which he will
happily share with you!
In 2010 there
will be a fantastic opportunity to join Paul Rose on a dive dedicated
cruise to Wolf and Darwin where divers will have the possibility to swim
with hammerheads, manta rays, penguins, marine iguanas with a good
chance of spotting whale sharks, when in season. There will be 2-4 dives
daily combined with shore excursions including a visit to the Charles
Darwin Research Station to learn more about conservation issues on the
Islands. You can combine your cruise with a visit to mainland Ecuador
and join Paul Rose on a trek to one of Ecuador’s highest volcanoes, do
some white water rafting or take a trip down the Amazon. Ecuador is one
of the smallest countries in South America and has one of the highest
concentrations of birds, butterflies and orchids, and you don’t have to
go far to see them. What ever you decide, Galapagos Classic Cruises can
tailor make your trip to include all excursions and any extras such as
hotels and transfers to suit individual requirements. Spaces are limited
and therefore subject to availability on a first come first serve basis. |
